MY REVIEW:   I kept looking at the scrumptious cover image for "Everyday Detox", from author Megan Gilmore, and finally, I said out loud: "Yes, I want this food--this is the way I should learn to eat!". I know a good amount about food and cooking, and I am not unknowledgeable about healthy eating. I just don't put theory into practice often enough, and as I approach the age of sixty, I need to make changes in my diet. I want sustainable energy, good overall health, mental acuity, and I want to sleep like a baby. I may not achieve all of these goals--I may achieve some of them some of the time--but I can eat well and feel well in the process. Megan Gilmore has expounded on the principles of food combining, incorporating her own life experiences into the mix, and produced an insightful, inspiring cookbook featuring 100 recipes for optimal health and eating enjoyment. This is real food, made with real, easily-obtainable ingredients. The introduction to food combining is followed by segmented chapters detailing recipes for types of dishes by category.
