MY REVIEW:  "The 30-Minute Low-Carb Cookbook" is filled with good food, good advice, and good strategies for making low-carb eating a sustainable way to maintain a lasting healthy lifestyle. Author Pamela Ellgen explains the differences in reduced-carb diets such as Paleo, Keto, Atkins, and Low-Carb, making it easier for you to understand how each of the diets work and which one may be the best choice for you. When planning a long-term lifestyle change for weight loss and overall good health, be sure to discuss those changes with your primary physician. The author also advises: "If you're looking to lose weight, a low-carb diet succeeds for two primary reasons: It reduces hunger, and consequently it reduces total caloric intake which will mobilize fat stores to fuel energy needs." The book also offers suggestions on how to optimize your kitchen and pantry for easy and enjoyable low-carb meal preparation. The 100 recipes featured in the book are made with real-food, easily-accessible ingredients, and you will find delicious dishes such as these: "Farmer's Market Breakfast Hash"; "Parmesan Crisps"; "Caprese Salad"; "Pan-Fried Chicken Cordon Bleu"; "Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Apple-Cabbage Slaw"; "Stir-Fried Beef and Broccoli with Cashews"; "Shrimp Scampi"; "Key Lime Pie Truffles"; "Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups"; and "Everyday Vanilla Cheesecake". Nutritional breakdowns, including total carbs, net carbs, and calories, are included with each recipe.
