"TEA AND A COWBOY"--from author ALYS MURRAY--In hopes of winning back his ex-girlfriend, a cowboy asks the owner of a tea parlor to teach him proper etiquette--will student and teacher both learn lessons of the heart?

Tea and a Cowboy

Cliff Masters could not be more different from his best friend's younger sister Bridgette Shaw. While he's out roping cattle at his family's ranch, she is running a tea parlor in the town square. He loves jeans and dirt; she loves hostess aprons and proper etiquette.

But when Cliff's latest flame breaks up with him because of his rough attitude and lack of sophistication, he enlists Bridgette to help in hopes her lessons in refinement will win his girlfriend back.

However, the more time he spends with the curvy brunette, the less he's thinking about his ex and the more he's imagining Bridgette in his future.

MY REVIEW:  If you enjoy contemporary romance which touches your heart and makes you laugh along the way, then you will love "Tea and a Cowboy" as much as I did. Author Alys Murray immediately drew me into the story with vivid characterizations and sparky banter between the leading man and leading lady. When Life hands lemons to Bridgette Shaw, she squeezes those lemons right back and adds a refreshing splash of lemon juice to the tea and baked goods she serves in her little tea parlor. While ranches and vineyards dominate the area, Bridgette is happy that her establishment adds a glimmer of refinement to her home town of Calista, California. Cowboys don't drink tea from china cups and nibble on dainty sandwiches and sweets, so Bridgette is in for quite a surprise when one particular cowboy comes knocking at the shop door. Cliff Masters, her older brother's best friend, and her nemesis and secret crush, needs Bridgette's help to smooth out his rough edges so that his ex-girlfriend will take him back. Bridgette never expected Cliff to ask for her help with another woman's affections, but she needs the money he is offering to upgrade her tea parlor. An unlikely arrangement ensues, and at times it's hard to tell who is the teacher and who is the student. Having been warned by his best friend years ago to keep "hands off" when it comes to Bridgette, Cliff now faces the unexpected dilemma of thinking more about her than does about his ex--or has Bridgette always more a part of his thoughts than he ever cared to admit? Bridgette is equally disconcerted by Cliff, and he is bringing back some of her long-held personal insecurities. Cliff has his own self-image issues, but he's starting to look at himself--and Bridgette--in a new light. Can these two "frenemies" combine their differences--and their dreams--and find a love to last a lifetime? "Tea and a Cowboy" is "A Ridgewood Ranch Romance, Book 1", and I am really looking forward to reading more lovely romances from talented storyteller Alys Murray.
