A Bride for Lord Albany: Upton Family Book 3

Upton Family Book 3

Nearly twenty-five years ago John Winge let Emma slip through his fingers. Emma is now a widow, her two sons all grown up. Now a viscount, Lord John Albany needs to know if he used his handicapped sister as an excuse to never marry or because he couldn’t imagine a life with anyone other than Emma.

Lady Emma Upton’s loveless first marriage was merely a way to secure the children she desperately wanted. Now a widow, she can’t imagine a reason she would need a husband, let alone one in the form of Lord Albany, a notorious fortune-hunter.

The more times the kindly Albany and gruff Emma are thrown together by a match-making daughter-in-law, the more the two come to realize a love that is meant to be is timeless.

MY REVIEW: If you are a fan of Regency Romance, and you enjoy "second-chance" love stories, then you will find "A Bride for Lord Albany" to be just your cup of tea. This delightful novella from author Angelina Jameson is well-paced, offers a touch of perfectly-polite sparky banter between two very appealing characters, and proves once again that, sooner or later, true love will have its way. In their youth, Emma and John met many years ago at a house party, and an immediate interest grew between them. However, a misunderstanding over John's abrupt departure due to an urgent matter family matter left Emma feeling vulnerable, and she eventually settled into a loveless marriage with another man. Over twenty years later, when they are once again face-to-face due to social circumstances, Emma and John find that the attraction between them still flickers. Emma is a widow with two grown sons. John, who never married, inherited the title of Lord Albany, and for all these many years he has provided care for his emotionally-delicate older sister. Now that John and Emma are once again in other's company, has the time come for them find their own personal happiness with a future together? Can "Lord Albany" convince Emma that she is the only woman meant to be his bride? Settle in with a lovely pot of tea and a plate of cream scones and strawberry jam and enjoy this delicious Regency Romance treat.
