Nancy Montuori was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts. For 23 years, she worked for Warner Bros Records, helping develop the careers of multiple music artist icons. In 2011, a serendipitous event changed her life. She went to see a movie called "Forks Over Knives" and left that movie convinced of the connection between animal protein and chronic disease. From that moment on, Nancy devoted her life to trying to help others live a long and healthy life with a plant-based diet. Through her podcast, Ordinary Vegan, her website, and her social media, Ordinary Vegan became a beacon for those seeking health and wellness.

Over the years, Nancy's philosophy on cooking plant-based grew. When presented with the challenge of developing 100 plant-based recipes with only five ingredients, at first, she was hesitant. But then she realized that one of the most common barriers to eating plant-based foods, was the learning curve and the time it took to cook. So she spent months developing recipes to make things easy and delicious for anyone wanting to try a plant-based diet full or part-time. Because her goal has always been to help people live a long and compassionate life, and "The Easy Five-Ingredient Cookbook" would be one of the ways she could achieve that.

Nancy believes that we are all connected, and any compassion we show ourselves ripples out to the entire universe, one plant-based meal at a time.
