Flavors of the Seasons

Flavors of the Seasons is a must-have cookbook! Featuring recipes for all four seasons with the added bonus of inspirational verse from America's best-loved poet, Helen Steiner Rice. This unique cookbook serves dual roles - cooks everywhere will find much-needed inspiration not only for the kitchen but also for their hearts. Dozens of recipes are divided into seasonal categories Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall - and feature everything from appetizers and breads to soups and salads, main dishes and desserts.

MY REVIEW:  "Flavors of the Seasons" is "A Collection of Recipes, Prayers, and the Inspirational Poetry of Helen Steiner Rice", compiled by Virginia J. Ruehlmann. It is wonderful! The photography is crisp and the colors are bold. The food jumps from the page, making the recipes even more mouth-watering. The voice of Helen Steiner Rice is heard throughout the book, with lovely poems and prayers to feed the soul as the food feeds the body.
