MY REVIEW: "T Is for Tiger: A Toddler's First Book of Animals" is beautifully illustrated, cleverly written, and gently educational. I have loved books and animals since I was old enough to know what they were, and I am entranced by this wonderful little book. Author and illustrator Laura Watkins is a marvel--superbly talented and with a great love of creating moments of magic. "T Is For Tiger" is so much more than an alphabet book for young children. It charmingly interconnects varying species with their shared environments, offers interesting facts about many of the animals, and it also includes a listing and a world map identifying the continents for each of the animal groups in the alphabet letters. This is a book that both children and parents will enjoy reading over and over again. "Q" is for "quokka"--called "the world's happiest animal" because their mouths appear to smile. Maybe they have read "T Is For Tiger".

Laura Watkins spent her childhood drawing onto huge rolls of wallpaper (and sometimes, if she ran out of paper, the walls themselves). As a grown-up, she’s thrilled to make her living drawing and painting, with an Irish setter and two cats, providing constant inspiration.
Laura is an internationally published illustrator of Children’s books and is in print in 14 languages. Laura has worked on a variety of briefs, from pop up unicorns to Korean picture books. Laura is always busy working on new and exciting projects and is represented by the Bright Agency.
Recently Laura has opened up her very own Art Boutique Shop. Selling high quality, limited edition Prints of her popular Dog paintings. Laura is very proud to have sold over a 1000 prints since the Shops launch in Christmas 2015. Laura believes there is no higher compliment than to appreciate an artists work enough to have it in your home, and would like to thank all clients for their interest and support.
Laura is based in Rochester, Kent. She is currently learning to sail and rebuild her boat, 'Aquaholic'. She has big plans to design and build her own houseboat and fill it with paintings and pets.
