Capitol White: A Donnie Brasco Novel
THE HERO OF THE HIT MOVIE "DONNIE BRASCO" AND 'NEW YORK TIMES' BEST SELLER RETURNS TO TAKE ON THE SCOURGE OF THE OPIOID CRISIS.
After the crowning achievement of his career - an undercover operation that took down the New York Mob - Donnie Brasco thought he had left the FBI for good. But when two agents corner him at the funeral of his mentor, Paul Weinman, Donnie finds himself inexorably drawn back into the game.
Weinman had been running a case so secret and fraught with danger that all Donnie can uncover are a few cryptic clues - just enough to send him down a trail that imperils him as well as his family. With each bit of information he uncovers, Donnie moves closer to the criminal masterminds who not only kill with guns, but with pills.
And one thing becomes increasingly clear - Paul Weinman's death may not be what it seemed.
Now, the only way Donnie can get to the truth and once again bring down the bad guys, is to do what he does best: go undercover to infiltrate the world he plans to destroy.
MY REVIEW: "Capitol White: A Donnie Brasco Novel" picks up the Donnie Brasco story five years after the sensational mob case that left him a marked man with a price on his head. The death of Donnie's mentor, Paul Weinman, brings Donnie back in touch with his former FBI colleagues. When the death proves to be a homicide, related to the case Weinman was working on, Donnie is drawn back into a world he thought he'd left far behind--but once you've been in and under, can you ever really get out? This time, the criminals Donnie is facing are crooked politicos who are feeding their greed through a nation's opioid addiction. Criminals are criminals, and killers are killers--whether menacing mobsters or polished politicians--and Donnie will dig deep--deep undercover--to destroy their dastardly money-making machine and bring the truth to light. "Capitol White" is a gritty, suspenseful crime thriller, brought to life through the talents of Joe Pistone (Donnie Brasco himself), Jon Land (best-selling thriller author, screenwriter, speaker), and
