Sweet Home Montana (Charity, Montana Book 3)

Entrepreneur Wade Conrad is called home to act as a temporary guardian for his teenage half-brother, who’s acting out and needs strong guidance. Wade feels they are both floundering, so he seeks help for Brent at Healing Heart Acres, an equine therapy center.

Erin Chase has been working as an equine therapist since her fiancĂ© called off their wedding with no explanation three years ago. She personally enjoys the peace found through animal therapy and believes in passing on the gift. When Erin meets Wade, she’s instantly drawn to his concern for his brother, as well as his kindness and charm.

Wade treasures time spent with Erin. They both long for more, but Wade’s leaving for California soon and his brother’s needs come first. Will he take a chance on love before it’s too late?

MY REVIEW:  "Sweet Home, Montana" (Charity, Montana Book 3) is a very romantic story with an appealing, compassionate heroine and a most swoon-worthy hero! With her typically stellar storytelling skills, author Lynne Marshall takes us once again to Charity, Montana, a community that embraces its own and makes newcomers feel right at home. Erin Chase is doing her best to leave past hurts behind and make a fresh start as a certified equestrian therapist at Healing Heart Acres, the equestrian therapy center. Wade Conrad has come home to the area to watch over his teen-aged half-brother, Brent, while their father and his second wife are out of the country. Wade had left home at a young age when his father divorced his mother and remarried. Now he has come full circle--it's time to mend fences and move forward. Involving Brent in the equestrian center seems like a good idea. Animals have a way of bringing what's really important into clear focus. Wade has no idea that he will not only bring a much-needed closeness to his relationship with Brent, but he will meet a sweet, pretty young woman named Erin who will quickly change the beat of his businessman's heart. I really became involved with following these characters and reading on to see how this engaging story line would resolve itself. Lynne Marshall always adds such interesting details, and the thoughts and emotions of the characters are so real that you are right there with them in their lives. This is contemporary romantic fiction at its best. Be sure to read the first two books in the series: "Her Baby, His Love", and "Their Christmas Miracle".

Their Christmas Miracle (Charity, Montana #2)

Hunter Wood wants to be respected. A talented cook, he’s ventured out on his own, opening a breakfast and lunch diner in Charity, Montana. He’s got a lot to prove—mostly to himself—and more than a few people to convince he’s a changed man.

Tracy Blevin is a registered nurse and pie baker extraordinaire, who is drawn to a most unlikely man, Hunter Wood. A nurturer by profession, she likes to feel needed, but the only thing Hunter needs her for is her pies. Their friendship has changed over the last six months as business partners. The more time Hunter spends with Tracy, the more he finds things to like about her. She's smart, organized, and...those bright green eyes and delicate mouth are really starting to get to him. Maybe it's time to move beyond just partnership...

When a Montana winter car crash leaves a baby an orphan, Godfather Hunter, lives up to his promise, taking in the ten-month old. With the season of miracles upon them, Hunter can no longer deny his strong attraction towards Tracy. Is her life-long wish for her own family finally being answered this Christmas?

MY REVIEW:   Each new read from author Lynne Marshall is a treat, and in the case of "Their Christmas Miracle", her second book set in Charity, Montana, it's a holiday gift. This novella may be short in length, but it is a story you will long remember. Hunter Wood strives to overcome the painful images of his past by working hard to make a success of his own little eatery in Charity, Montana. Having served his time for the accidental killing of a man during a tragic hunting accident, Hunter wants to keep moving forward. His baker for the diner, Tracy Blevin, carries the sadness of her parents' unhappy marriage, along with her own divorce and other failed relationships. Tracy is also a registered nurse, and Hunter volunteers at a rescue ranch where animals find safety and shelter from abusive situations. They have loving hearts, but have yet to find their own true love. Working side by side, friendship and respect have grown between them--is there a chance for something more? When tragedy strikes once again, and Hunter finds himself the care provider for his infant cousin, Adam, Tracy helps in any way she can. Part of her own heartache is her longing to become a mother, and baby Adam is so very precious. With the holidays fast approaching, emotions are high, and there is much to deal with--Hunter must obey both the law and the traditions of his Native American heritage when it comes to keeping custody of baby Adam. Can Hunter and Adam help Tracy overcome her lack of faith in herself and find a happy future for them all? Will a tiny baby, so innocent and vulnerable, truly be "Their Christmas Miracle"? This is a wonderfully poignant contemporary romance from a gifted storyteller, and let me add this: "Food, glorious food, wonderful food!". This holiday tale is tastefully tempting! Be sure to also read "Her Baby, His Love", Book One in the "Charity, Montana" series.

Her Baby, His Love (Charity, Montana #1)

MY REVIEW: "Her Baby, His Love" is Book #1 in author Lynne Marshall's "Charity, Montana Series". Lynne has long been one of my favorite authors, and one of the things that I enjoy most about her books is that they are never predictable. She infuses her stories with interesting twists and turns, and there is always an element of surprise in the story lines. "Her Baby, His Love" is a very contemporary romance featuring lead characters who have not only made mistakes in their pasts, but are still struggling with a number of personal issues in the present day. Taylor Clark and Joe Collins ended up in Charity, Montana at different times, and for different reasons. but with the same goal in mind: a fresh start. Each one of them has made some not-so-wise choices in relationships, and despite their immediate attraction, they try to remain just friends. After moving to Charity,Taylor discovers that she is pregnant by her cheating ex-boyfriend, who married another woman and tried to still have a relationship with Taylor. Joe reveals that not only is he himself an ex-con, he works to help other ex-cons start over in new lives. Taylor has serious trust issues going back to her childhood and then continuing through her relationships with men. Joe, who has always had free and easy relationships with women, knows that Taylor is someone special, buy he doesn't quite know to act around her. The road to future happiness is a rocky path for Taylor and Joe, but anything worth having is worth fighting for, and with growing trust and friendship--and love waiting ahead--they will find their way. "Charity, Montana" is an excellent contemporary romance series from talented author Lynne Marshall.
