MY REVIEW: "The Complete Cursive Handwriting Workbook for Kids: Laugh, Learn, and Practice the Alphabet with Silly Jokes" is a beautifully simple concept: Help children develop their writing skills and teach them silly jokes that they can share with others. Author Crystal Radke has created an easy to use handwriting  guide with ruled pages featuring alphabet letters and words in cursive. The teaching is progressive from just letters, then to simple words, and finally to short sentences. At the top of each letters-only page, there is a word that begins with  the designated letter, from "Apple starts with A" all the way through "Zebra starts with Z". On the words-only pages there is a cute illustration that matches the first letter of the word, like "B for Bat", "O for Octopus", and "Q for Quilt". The sentences are jokes and answers to jokes. At the very end of the book, there is a "Certificate of Completion" to award as recognition for learning how to write in cursive. Younger children who are not quite ready for writing will enjoy learning to sound out the letters and match them to the pictures.
