A Blood Seduction

Take me down to Vampire City...

Vampires live only for lust and pleasure in the eternal twilight of Vamp City. But the city's magic is dying. The only person who can restore it? A beautiful woman from the mortal world...one who knows nothing of the power she wields.

Quinn Lennox is searching for a missing friend when she stumbles into a dark otherworld that only she can see—and finds herself at the mercy of Arturo Mazza, a dangerously handsome vampire whose wicked kiss will save her, enslave her, bewitch her, and betray her. What Arturo can't do is forget about her—any more than Quinn can control her own feelings for him. Neither one can let desire get in the way of their mission—his to save his people, hers to save herself. But there is no escape from desire in a city built for seduction, where passion flows hot and blood-red.

Welcome to Vamp City...

MY REVIEW:  After reading "A Blood Seduction", the first book in author Pamela Palmer's new "Vamp City", I will be sleeping with a nightlight on for some time to come. Possibly forever. These are not your mama's vampires--these are wicked, vile creatures with "hearts" blacker than midnight. If there was ever a soul in these horrid fiends, it incinerated long ago. Existing in "Washington, V.C.", a parallel world to Washington, D.C., these vamps are most definitely politically incorrect! Feeding off human blood, as well as the fear and pain of their victims, these soul-suckers morph between worlds, stealing their victims as they please. Quinn Lennox and her brother Zack find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time, and both are taken against their will. Quinn becomes the captive of the dangerously seductive Arturo Mazza, a centuries-old vampire who is more cruel than charming. Despite her fears, Quinn comes under Arturo's spell, and at times he seems swayed by her. However, even Arturo has a master, and he betrays Quinn, delivering her to the monster he serves. Quinn is the one the vamps have waited for, a sorceress with the ability to save their threatened existence. All her life, Quinn had known she was "different", suffering from strange visions she could not comprehend. Quinn endures much to save her brother, but is she strong enough to save her heart from a danger beyond comprehension? Pamela Palmer strikes fear in the hearts of readers as she strikes new notes in Urban Fantasy!
