MY REVIEW:  With a shout-out to all "Super Kids", "Super Foods for Super Kids Cookbook: 50 Delicious (and Secretly Healthy) Recipes Kids Will Love to Make" offers a challenge to young chefs to charge their super powers and become a "Super Food Hero". Author Noelle Martin, a registered dietician, instructor, and blogger, teaches such essentials as how to read a recipe, how to properly use kitchen utensils, kitchen safety, and how to choose foods with bonus benefits which classify them as "super foods", this cookbook is a fun learning tool filled with delicious lessons. The recipes were developed with ages 8 to 12 in mind, but there are indicators when an adult should give assistance with preparation. Helpful hints and tasty tidbits are shared throughout the book, and guidelines are included for shopping, ingredients, measuring, safe knife handling, how to use the stove safely, and much more. There's also a guideline for the extra benefits of specific super foods and a glossary of cooking terms. Here's a recipe sampler: "Caped Crusader Overnight Oats"; "Best Breakfast Pizza"; "On-the-Go Trail Mix";  "Protein-Packed Brownies"; "Turbo Turkey Wrap"; "Sweet Potato Pancakes"; "Burrito Salad Bowl"; "Meatloaf Muffins with Mashed Potato Icing"; "Gingerbread Bites"; and "Peanut Butter Pumpkin Loaf". Teach a child at a young age how to cook and make good food choices, and they will eat well for life.
