MY REVIEW: Lynne Marshall’s unique voice as a storyteller is in full force with “Miracle for the Neurosurgeon”, a captivating contemporary romance that will surprise and satisfy the romance lover’s imagination. The character in the title, Wes Van Allen, is stubborn, somewhat superior, and very sexy—a man used to having his own way. An accident which leaves him a wheelchair-bound paraplegic changes his life forever and forces him to adapt to a whole new lifestyle, and it challenges him to overcome and excel beyond those boundaries. He needs help, however, and it comes in the form of a sweet memory from his past. Mary Harris, a longtime close friend of Wes’s sister, Alexandra. Mary is an expert in physical therapy, and when Alexandra asks for her help with Wes, who has already fired several therapists, Mary comes to their aid. At first reluctant to work with Mary, Wes gives her a trial period which proves to be more than either of them ever expected. Old feelings from a young attraction become an irresistible desire that is touched with something more—a hope of a chance for both of their dreams to come true. There is much to overcome, and as opportunity knocks for each of them, can they find a way to have it all? I am even more of a Lynne Marshall fan after having read “Miracle for the Neurosurgeon”. In her own special way, she takes an extremely difficult situation and turns it into an uplifting, reaffirming, and smokin’ hot romance. Oh, my—the passionate possibilities!
