MY REVIEW: With great heart and gentle humor, author Lizzie Shane waved her writer's wand and created a charming, entertaining contemporary fairy-tale romance. "A Royal Christmas Wish" features a perfectly imperfect heroine whose very imperfections give her character an irresistible appeal. Jenny James just can't seem to find her place in life, and her lack of self-confidence is one of the major stumbling blocks in her way. Jenny and her best friend Margo had moved to New York after graduation with big dreams for the big city. Margo had remained upbeat, encouraging Jenny and cheering her on. Now, Margo was getting married, and Jenny would be on her own. Due to a strict landlord, she couldn't even adopt "Prince Harry", her favorite dog from the shelter where she volunteered. After literally running into a handsome stranger named Dom in Central Park, she thinks her luck may have changed. However, her hopes are crushed when he turns out to be royalty--Prince Alexander Dominic of the small European country of San Noelle. How could "Just Jenny"--as she sees herself--find romance with a real prince? Dom is a thoughtful man, well aware of the weight of his responsibilities. He's never met anyone like Jenny, and he is greatly attracted to her loveliness and her kind nature. She doesn't think she's special, but he does.
