MY REVIEW: With "Crochet Cute Critters: 26 Easy Amigurumi Patterns", author and crochet world blog-star Sarah Zimmerman provides easy, clear instructions which will allow you to create an adorable stuffed animal to match every letter in the alphabet. Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures. For the designs featured in this book, every animal shares the same basic head and body pattern. Working with worsted weight yarn and a size "H" crochet hook, you will create a crocheted animal kingdom by making adaptions to the basic pattern. Who could resist such cuddly creatures as these: "Callie the Cat"; "Ginger the Giraffe"; "Kate the Kangaroo"; "Oswald the Owl"; "Penelope the Penguin"; "Walter the Whale"; and 20 more "cute critters". Each finished animal will measure approximately 10 inches tall by 8 inches wide (from head to foot). Instructions are included on how to stuff and finish the animals and add the features. Follow safety recommendations (avoid choking hazards for small children and pets) when adding plastic eyes and noses and such. You can also add cute faces to your creations by simply stitching on yarn eyes, noses, eyebrows, and smiles.
