"I'll Know You By Heart", by Kimberly Job, is intense, unflinching, at times quite brutal, but it is ultimately healing.
The day Stephanie Roberts met Jared Wakefield, she didn't realize they'd met before. Running from an abusive marriage and trying to safeguard her children, she turns to Jared for support, but he needs more from her than she might be capable of giving. With her abusive husband looming in her past, the difficulties they must overcome to be together seem insurmountable.
Is it possible for love to conquer all? I'll Know You By Heart is a timeless romance that explores the possibility that relationships span the entire realm of eternity. A story about abuse, hardship, and betrayal, it is ultimately a story about the healing power of everlasting true love.
MY REVIEW: "I'll Know You By Heart", by Kimberly Job, is intense, unflinching, at times quite brutal, but it is ultimately healing. The subject of abuse is one that many people turn away from because it makes them uncomfortable. Almost all of us know someone who is an abuse victim. We ourselves may be that victim. Abuse taints and tortures not only the immediate victim, but also others in the surrounding vicinity. It's effects are endless. Ripples upon ripples on the sea of life. Ms. Job takes on this ugly subject, offers more than one viewpoint of the overall abuse situation, and still manages to offer hope of redemption and renewal. This is a story of abuse, a second chance at romantic happiness, and taking a leap of faith. Learning to love yourself and realizing that you are a worthy person deserving of being loved is one of the first steps to overcoming abuse. "I'll Know You By Heart" is about one such survivor, her children, and the man with whom she finds a new start to a loving, happy life. It is also about her first husband, the father of her children, who is her abuser. This is not a book that you will read and put aside. It will stay with you for a long, long time.
