MY REVIEW: Libraries, bookstores, and mysteries just naturally go together, and they make for an entertaining combination in "Murder by Page One: A Peach Coast Library Mystery", Book One in author Olivia Matthews' new cozy mystery series. Marvella "Marvey" Harris moved from to Brooklyn, NY to small-town Peach Coast, GA to work as director of community engagement for the local library. After a few months in the close-knit community, she had new friends, her work, and her hobby of making book-themed jewelry to help her pass the time. Her cat, Phoenix, was still adjusting to the move. When Marvey's friend Jolene Gomez hosts a multi-author book signing at her "To Be Read" bookstore, Marvey attends with Spencer Holt, local golden boy and the owner, publisher and editor-in-chief of the town’s daily newspaper, "The Peach Coast Crier". As the book signing is about to begin, a shocking event occurs--local author Fiona Lyle-Hayes, who was set to launch her first book at the event, is found murdered in the back room of the store. Fiona, not a popular resident in the community, was considered to be a "home-wrecker", and potential suspects are aplenty. When Jo becomes the focus of the investigation, Marvey and Spence work together with Jo to clear her name. As secrets are uncovered, and more truths come to light, the danger around them escalates--will they solve the mystery or will it be their fatal final chapter? Book and mystery lovers will enjoy this cozy crime caper. Be sure to try the recipe for the Peach Coast community's favorite dessert, "Classic Peach Cobbler".
