MY REVIEW: "Tasty Cakes", a sweet & spicy contemporary romance from author Molly Sloan, is Book One in her new "Racing Heart Series". With appealing characters, plenty of "heart with heat", and an involving story line, this love story will capture the imagination of fans of romantic fiction. Weston Love, a widowed single father with a precocious five-year old daughter, Lilly, is a professor of English Literature at a university in Cambridge, Massachusetts. A visit to the town's newest bakery to pick up cupcakes for Lilly's birthday will lead to an encounter he never expected. Vivienne Cross is rebuilding her life and her business after a devastating betrayal by her own father. Settling in Cambridge, and opening "Tasty Cakes" allows her to start anew. When the beautiful, copper-haired baker meets the handsome, blue-eyed professor, the sparks between them generate enough heat to rival the ovens in the bakery's kitchen--and then some.
