MY REVIEW: Author Lynne H. Blackburn begins her thrilling new "Defend and Protect Series" with the suspenseful "Unknown Threat". When US Secret Service Agents in the Raleigh, NC division begin to fall victim to a deadly unknown assailant, FBI Special Agent Faith Malone is chosen to lead the investigation into the attacks. Agency delineators blur when law enforcement officers come under fire, and service members unite to protect their comrades-in-arms. For Faith, the assignment is made more personal when one of the surviving victims turns out to be US Secret Service Special Agent Luke Powell. Luke, with whom Faith had worked on numerous occasions during the past several years, was a colleague, a friend, and perhaps, something more. Seeing Faith again under these circumstances would take some getting used to, especially when she was the lead investigator, but Luke knew they had to work together to stop the vicious killer before he struck again. As the search for the assassin becomes more intense, so does the growing attraction between Faith and Luke. Can they combine their special skills and abilities and stop evil in its tracks? If they survive, is there a chance for the feelings they share to become a lasting, happy future together? Author Lynn H.
