Love & Chocolate
When Sarah Westwood’s deadbeat husband deserts her and their young son, she takes a job at her family’s restaurant, The Three Chocolatiers, working with her famous chef grandfather and her pastry chef cousin, Paisley. Determined to never fall for the wrong guy again, Sarah vows to stick to chocolate and steer clear of men, especially her delicious ice-cream supplier, Blake Harrison. But when Paisley signs her up for a dating site, Sarah is soon engaging in a sexy online flirtation with a stranger.
Blake Harrison wants nothing more than for Sarah to give him a chance, but all she’ll give him is the cold shoulder. Never one to run from a challenge, he works on becoming the kind of man Sarah can’t refuse. And since he just happens to be on the same dating site, he’s not above using a little cyber-intel to worm his way into her heart.
When Sarah’s grandfather collapses just weeks before an upscale chocolate-themed wedding that could make or break the business, the staff of The Three Chocolatiers is sent into a tailspin. With the pressure rising on personal and professional fronts, Sarah might just have to let someone sweet melt her defenses.
Includes four recipes from The Three Chocolatiers Cookbook.
MY REVIEW: When it comes to "LOVE & CHOCOLATE", a woman's gotta do what a woman's gotta do! Author Gail Cleare serves up a delightfully delicious contemporary romance tale with a very appealing heroine who, while armed with chocolate, takes on matters of family, fate. love and libido, and successfully running the family restaurant. When Sarah Westwood's husband left her and their young son. Devon, he left Sarah with a wary and disillusioned outlook on men and romance. Going to work for her renowned chef grandfather at his restaurant, The Three Chocolatiers, seems like a way to make a fresh start. Sarah's cousin, Paisley, a pastry chef at the restaurant, helps propel Sarah back into the romance game by signing her up for an online dating service. When their grandfather becomes ill, everything changes in a heartbeat, and the two cousins must deal with an overloaded plate of family and personal issues while striving to keep the restaurant alive and thriving. Sarah engages in an online flirtation with a mystery man while trying to steer clear of the up-close-and-very personal charms of handsome Blake Harrison. Blake and his brother, Jordan, run a premier ice cream company which supplies The Three Chocolatiers with their premium frozen treats. Now faced with the attention of two suitors, single-parenthood, and professional as well as personal challenges, Sarah must somehow rise to the occasion--as long as her supply of chocolate never runs out! Lovers of romance and all things chocolate will devour this sweetly spicy story. Author Gail Cleare also rewards readers by including out-of-this world chocolate recipes that are a feast for the senses!

"Cleare's (The Taste of Air, 2016, etc.) latest is an
appealing romance with finely drawn characters and a well-constructed
story. Sarah is a likable, sympathetic heroine--a single mother who
wants to maintain a solid, stable home for her son.Her connection with
Blake accretes slowly, bolstered by playful dialogue and scenes that
generate a palpable erotic heat. While most of the action revolves
around Sarah and Blake's relationship, both online and in person, the
story includes a strong subplot involving The Three Chocolatiers and the
elaborate wedding that could cement the restaurant's stellar
reputation. Chocolate lovers may also enjoy the recipes at the end of
the novel. An engaging, irresistible chocolate-laced romance." --Kirkus Reviews
"This
book is so good and will keep you wanting more. It's got everything
that a good bookneeds. Love, chocolate, intrigue, a bit of edge of your
seat suspense, love again and family....A big 5 star book. I loved it."
--Linda S Moore, reviewer
"A
delicious romance that had me hooked from the very first page....I
couldn't wait to find out if Blake would reveal his online presence to
Sarah and how she would react. Also, on top of the romance, there are
some beautiful family moments that were so touching they brought a tear
to my eye. Sarah's son is adorable and Cleare's descriptions of him were
super cute. There is also a rather creepy element that adds a note of
mystery and had me turning the pages faster and faster! 5 stars."

--Patricia Grasso, award-winning author of To Tempt An Angel
"Come for the chunky chocolate, stay for the hunky hero. An appealing heroine falls for the perfect hero - twice. Love & Chocolate is a book for lovers of engaging characters, happily ever after, and chocolate."
